Un livre en anglais d'un éditeur surtout connu des informaticiens : Illustrated Guide to Home Biology Experiments
J'adore ce livre et même si mon anglais est minable, il est pour moi une grande source d'informations.
D'abord c'est un ouvrage moderne. la description du microscope par exemple est moderne par exemple.
Tout le livre est basé sur la pratique et l'expérimentation. Un point important est aussi la volonté d'accessibilité et de coût réduit du matériel et des produits.


Je vous conseille de jeter un oeil sur les exemples disponibles sur le site.
Mais pourquoi pas de traduction :(

Vous pouvez le trouver chez amazon mais si vous préférez l'ebook achetez directement chez l'editeur, vous aurez un grand choix de format et pas de DRM donc la possibilité de le copier à volonté

Effectivement, c'est assez moderne.

ressemble à 100% au Motic B1 que j'ai acheté pour Catherine (DUTILLEUIL) pour environ 180 euros
ce même microscope ressemblant énormément au Nikon Alphaphot 2

Après avoir regardé rapidement quelques chapitres sur celui de biologie, je le trouve pas mal du tout en effet. En fait, il s'agit d'un bouquin pour enseigner la biologie chez soi. Et l'éditeur vend des kits complets de matériel si j'ai bien compris.

Oui, tu as bien compris, hélas ces kits ne sont pas livrables en France :(
O'Reilly est un acteur important aux US de la science et de la technologie amateur (voir : http://blog.makezine.com/science-room/)
Cet éditeur publie aussi un magazine http://blog.makezine.com/volume/make-33/ (je suis abonné à l'édition papier depuis quelques années) consacré au DIY (Do It Yourself, un peu notre système D français mais à la sauce américaine)

Et toujours sans protection ni DRM ce qui ne les empêche pas d'être rentable d'ailleurs.

Je connais aussi les bouquins astro et medico legal, j'ai été tenté par le second, lors d'une prochaine offre à 50% sur l'ebook peut-être (O'Reilly fait régulièrement des promos à 50 % sur les éditions numériques).

Je me répète je sais mais je trouve dingue qu'il n'y ai pas d'équivalent français. Certes notre marché est plus restreint mais quand-même.

Je vous présenterai bientôt un autre bouquin américain aussi et d'un autre éditeur sur la bio amateur (je vous prépare aussi un petit billet sur le bio hacking promis ;) )

Je dirais que déjà le marché est beaucoup, mais beaucoup plus restreint, la francophonie vs "l'anglophonie", et surtout les habitudes culturelles des anglo-saxons vs les notres, ce qui, à mon avis, restreint encore le marché.

Après, écrire un tel livre resterait à la portée d'un certain nombre de forumeurs d'ici à mon avis :P

Ce serait un beau projet et une belle utilité et je pense aussi que certains membres ont tout à fait les capacités et de loin.

Ils sont assez spéciaux chez O'Reilly, ils ne protègent rien, çà change des autres :lol:
C'est une de mes motivations à dépenser du fric chez eux.

C'est un livre plein d'idées !
La coloration des cellules d'épiderme d'oignon p. 218-219 par exemple est étonnante. Reste plus qu'à acheter tous les colorants pour faire de superbes observations en classe l'an prochain !

à noter pour les bidouilleurs (Christian, fredlab, Daniel...*) que O'Reilly est l'éditeur du bouquin "arduino Cook book", parait-il excellent !
