Serapias lingua, histologie, histology.

Autant nos orchidées nous surprennent par la diversité de leurs fleurs, autant leur structure anatomique est des plus banales. C'est le cas de Serapias lingua de la famille des Orchidaceae
Dans la tige (photo 1) la coloration rouge traduisant la lignification ne se trouve qu'au niveau du xylème. On peut noter la délicatesse et la finesse générale des parois des parenchymes et du phloème (photo 2).
La coupe de la feuille (photo 3) révèle une structure identique. Les stomates se trouvent nombreux à la face abaxiale, on n'en trouve pas à la face adaxiale. L'empreinte nitrocellusique de la face abaxiale de la feuille (photo 4) montre que la densité en stomates est élevée et qu'ils sont de taille importante.

So many orchids surprise us with their diversity of flowers, as their anatomical structure is the most banal.
In the stem (picture 1) red color reflecting the lignification level appears only in the xylem. It is the case of Serapias lingua from the family Orchidaceae.
We can note the delicacy and finesse of the walls in parenchyma and phloem (picture 2).
The cross section of the leaf (picture 3) shows an identical structure. The stomata are numerous on the abaxial surface and are not found on the adaxial surface. The print with nitrocellulose of the abaxial side of the leaf shows that the stomatal density is high and they are large.
